Welcome to Le Colombier *** !
Dating back to 1614, Le Colombier has been listed among the most beautiful dovecotes in Haute-Normandie.
Its outstanding size – 10 m (33-feet) in diameter, 2,8ft thick walls, and 53-ft high- make it one of the biggest dovecotes in Normandy.
There is a remarkable draughtboard-like marquetry of 3000 cut blue-grey flint and white sandstone. This circular frieze includes 4 rosettes, as well as diamond-shaped forms hewn with a skill nowadays forgotten.
The Colombier was built with 60 000 pieces of 400 hundred year-old handmade orange bricks, named “bricks of St John”. Remarkable rhombuses in black bricks bring on additional patterns to this exceptional historic dovecote.
You will be able to enjoy the entire property, comprising le Colombier as well as the Baker’s Oven and the large tree-lined garden (1500 m²;1800 sq yards) with all the necessary garden furniture (tables, deckchairs, parasols, BBQ) and private parking space.

BEDROOMS
KITCHEN AMENITIES – HEATING
There is a beautiful well-fitted kitchen with a microwave oven, two fridges, a freezer, dish-washer, electric oven, an electric induction cooker, a coffee machine, a food processor and a double sink, deeper than standard models so that large dishes can easily be cleaned.
There is a large work surface to prepare meals and a specific water heater for the kitchen.
Radiant floor heating contributes both to the comfort and design of the place.
THE BAKER’S OVEN
Also part of the property is a converted genuine baker’s oven. It is a lovely half-timbered cob oven covered with typical little Norman tiles. With charming country furnishing on the 2 floors, the baker’s oven comprises a little dining room on the ground floor, and upstairs there is a lovely bedroom for a couple, en-suite with a bathroom (sink and WC) and overlooked by a roof structure ornamented with open work. A large window offers a view onto the garden and the apple trees
YOUR ARRIVAL
Someone will be waiting for you at the Colombier to welcome you, give you the keys and collect the security deposit.

It is possible to have the Colombier + Baker’s oven cleaned up for you after you have left. This option is recommended.
